Mrs. Sherry Hsiao

With over two decades of excellence in music education, Mrs. Sherry Hsiao established the academy to provide top-tier training for the next generation of musicians. Under her leadership, the brand has grown into a highly regarded, trusted music institution with studios in both Sydney and Taiwan. Her unwavering commitment to mentoring and inspiring young musicians remains at the heart of SMA's mission, empowering each student to reach their full musical potential.

 

Mrs. Hsiao is a renowned Sydney-based musician and educator with nearly three decades of professional performance and teaching experience. Having performed with major philharmonic orchestras worldwide, she began her own musical journey at the age of five and entered a prestigious conservatory at twelve. Pursuing advanced international studies in both Violin and Piano, she earned a Bachelor of Music in Taiwan, a Master of Music with Honors from a top-tier U.S. State University, and completed Doctoral of Musical Arts studies in Conducting and Violin Performance. Throughout her distinguished career, she has received numerous accolades, including Outstanding Graduate Student Awards and prestigious music scholarships (MSU & UK), while remaining active in international performance engagements.

With specialized training in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Suzuki Talent Education, and Orff Schulwerk Pedagogies, she fosters a nurturing and innovative environment that supports students of all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced musicians preparing for elite competitions. Her approach seamlessly blends traditional methods with creative techniques to develop both flawless technical precision and profound musical artistry.
